Candidate Info Sessions

Candidate Info Sessions

Come along to one of these Candidate Info Sessions to find out from our Student Voice team all about:

  • Being a leader in the Students’ Union
  • The available leadership opportunities
  • What is involved in the roles and the commitment required
  • The nomination and election process

We are holding several repeat sessions – both in person and online – so feel free to come to whichever you feel most comfortable! Each session will be a maximum on one hour.

Come to our Meet Your Current Student Officers session and chat to your current Full-Time Student Officers to find out all about their experience of being a Student Leader!

There will be an Effective Campaigning Workshop to help you plan your election campaign to be as successful as possible! At this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Plan your election campaign to be as successful as possible
  • Canvass students and convince them to vote for you
  • Develop short, effective, election pitches for talking to students
  • Prepare and plan your speech for the Candidate Question Time (FT Officer posts only)

The campaigning workshop will be held twice - once before the close of nominations and once after. It will last for approx. two hours and candidates for all positions are welcome to attend.
