A vote for me is a vote for student safety, open and honest conversations about sexual and mental health, and empowering you to make the changes you want and need. #ChangeWithCourtney

If elected VP for Welfare I have 5 key priority areas.

1) A mental health calendar of events to raise awareness about the different types of mental health issues and reduce stigma. As someone with a mental health condition this is a priority for me.

Some events include;

  • Suicide awareness week
  • Body positive event to raise awareness about eating disorders and body dysmorphia
  • Separate UG & PG weeks to talk about the transition to higher education

2) A Night Bus system to ensure the safety of all students at night, particularly vulnerable students.

3) Reform Advice SU based on students vision for their welfare, and a weekly presence on campus to help signpost.

4) Implementation of a FREE FRIDAYS to encourage students to make use of free condoms and sanitary towels, and to include free pregnancy tests.

5) Listening to you and making the changes you want to see.
A student message me about a microwave and kettle in the McClay due to financial concerns and I immediately added it to my manifesto.
