VOTE FOR More resources to help deal with the cost of living Nutritious and Hot meals Better facilities for neurodivergent students Improved infrastructure for Research students Advocate more policies and provisions for students who are Parents/Carers Lecture Recordings for easy accessiblity Fight against increasing student accommodation rent

As an international student, I am well aware of the financial, mental, and emotional pressure that everyone goes through. I am a school rep for AEL and student council member. In the last 4 months, I've tried to do the best for the students of AEL and my course. I’ve had lecturers push deadlines of assignments by a month to make things less stressful for students, and I’ve raised issues like organising extra classes and skills labs for students.  In the past, I've heard many post-grad students mention how they feel neglected at the university and feel like they are being deprived of a fair chance compared to undergrads. I want to change that. I will make sure that the Postgrad students receive an equal number of attention and opportunity at the university. I’ve also been very inclined towards helping post-graduate research students with their issues and providing them with the right infrastructure to make their PhD a smoother experience. I could go on and on about what I’ve done, but I would honestly love to have the opportunity to help not just the students of AEL, but the entire university. Give me a chance and I will show you what you and I can do! Together let’s elevate our voice and stand up for what’s right!

This year, am raising my voice for:

  • Allocating and implementing more resources for students to tackle the cost of living crisis.
  • Stocking up the pantry with more stuff, providing cheaper meals in the SU, and healthier hot meals for students.
  • Providing training to teachers and staff to be better equipped at assisting neurodivergent students.
  • Organise more job fairs for post-grad students and emphasise on giving them the training to enhance their employability skills to prepare them for the job market.
  • Improving the infrastructure and facilities for PhD research students. Making sure rooms, desks, and printers are available for research students at all times.
  • Introduce proper training sessions for Teaching assistants.
