Elevating the voice of Postgrads at QUB
Dear Fellow Students,
I would like to amplify the voices of Postgraduate Students within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, empowering students and voicing their concerns and promoting well-being!!
1. Advocating Social Settings:
- Icebreaker Sessions: New Postgraduate Students are thrown into courses with no knowledge of their peers and very little correspondense from the university, in an effort to ease their transition from undergraduate to postgraduate study we would organise social events to allow them students to get to know those they will be studying with.
2. Promote Postgraduate Voices:
- Promote feedback channels to allow students to voice their concerns or queries regarding the introduction to a postgraduate degree
- Holding Town Hall meetings to create an informal setting in which students can ask questions to faculty members
3. Mental Health
- Resources: Promote the QUB Mental Health services and highlight the need to get help when necessary
- Stress: Promote the idea that stress is something that can be combatted and not left to fester until it becomes too much for a student
I am dedicated to being the voice of my fellow Postgrdauate students and committed to making my time as a QUB postgraduate student an enjoyable experience and be able to build a better network for students.
