Want a skeptic in the SU? Vote Jonathan.
Hi!
I'm Jonathan, and I'm asking for your vote because I firmly believe that the SU needs a calm, skeptical voice to represent the interests of all students at Queen's. As a young, gay, neurodivergent, mature student studying Philosophy, I think I have a unique ability to represent both the majority and minorities at Council meetings, where I will represent your interests, not mine. I have a skeptical mind and do not shy away from difficult - but necessary - conversations, especially when those conversations lead to progress.
As Course Rep and President of two Societies, I have represented some of you on various committees/townhalls over the last year and thoroughly enjoyed being able to effect positive change for us all. I have ensured that lecture notes are available online to those who need them via the Student Voice Committee, secured funding to provide great events for the Philosophy Society & Mature Students' Society (shameless plug -- come join us!), and had great craic co-organising the HAPP Formals at The Hilton last year!
I think I'm pretty approachable and don't take life too seriously, but I work hard and I'll make you proud!
