Hi! I’m Rheannon, I’m studying History and Anthropology :) I’m standing for AHSS rep to ensure students from all backgrounds are represented in the Union. Representation within education is really important to me, especially where religious minorities are concerned.
I’ve been involved with clubs and societies since I came to Queen’s in 2021, and became Jewish Society President at the end of my first year. I’m in my second term of this role now, and have increased membership, established us within the Jewish community in Belfast, and am working on increasingly visibility within both Queen’s and Ulster Uni.
No matter how small a community is, all members deserve to feel their views are heard, and reflected within policy. If elected to the main decision-making body in the union, I will work to ensure students from all backgrounds are represented and considered in social and academic life. Cultural and religious identity are key aspects of personality and should be factored into union policy!
