Facilitating change one voice at a time. We all matter, you deserve to feel seen and our SU should continuously strive to reflect that.

Hello all,

I would just like to highlight a few changes that I would work to enact if I am selected.

Firstly, It is Important to me that everybody feels seen and in light of that If elected, I will put forward a better support system for students who may find difficulty in navigating course material, meeting people. or just getting things together in terms of being better aligned with your degree content. which should go beyond a personal tutor or drop-in sessions as the major source of aid with these matters, This will apply of course, not just to first years but to anybody in any year of study who is looking for support in these areas, as the confusion doesn't start and end in the first year for a lot of us  and so frequent support is crucial. These changes will also work to strengthen the peer mentorship student programme here at Queens.

I would also like to put the idea forward for more open workshops to deal with the various stressors of student life, or frequent wellness events which can shed more light on a variety of things such as getting productive, and staying motivated or even just advice on dealing with the various aspects of the student experience.

Lastly and perhaps most importantly if I am elected, I intend to make sure that any changes that you would like to see at Queens is brought to the table for discussion to the best of my ability and that I engage back with you on these matters, however big or small. If we can work together to enact change then there most definitely will be results. #chooselia #chooseprogress
