I am a first year PhD student in the school of Pharmacy, with a master in Medical Biochemistry from Manchester University. I have had experience of being a course rep from my previous degree and greatly enjoyed organising meet-ups and helping other students when problems arised.
My manifesto has five key points:
1. Ensure all students feel comfortable and included in their course.
2. Enable effective communication between students and members of QUB staff
3. Organise events and talks to help with postgraduates future career options.
4. To be open to suggestions from other postgraduates and implement their ideas.
5. To organise more social events involving postgraduates across the different schools. / departments.
I believe I am qualified for this position due to my experience in my previous role as course ambassador in Medical Biochemistry at UoM. Furthermore I have been involved in the setting up and organised activities for several societies through my time at University and therefore have learned how to communicate effectively and ensure that actions are completed.
