About

The QUB Lacrosse Club is a fun way to meet new people and keep fit whilst playing a fast paced, exciting team sport. There is a wide range of ability in the club so it is perfect for those who are looking to try something new, keep fit, or for more experienced players to train and play competitively. The club prides itself on its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Even if it’s just for one session, take a shot at Lacrosse.

We train twice a week at the Queens PEC. On Mondays 6-8pm and Wednesdays 6-7pm. Our training sessions are led by our amazing Head Coach Dee McKim who plays for the Ireland Lacrosse national team. Dee has been shortlisted as Female Coach of the Year for the Belfast City Council Sports Awards 2020.

The club offers the opportunity to travel around Ireland with many matches played in Dublin and Galway as we compete in the Irish League each year. We also host friendly games as well as competing within the Irish League. In the 2019/2020 season we hosted the University of Dundee and this was an amazing opportunity to play lacrosse, have fun and meet new people. Each year every member has the opportunity to attend the Blues Lacrosse Festival in London. This tournament involves teams from all across the UK for a weekend of camping and lacrosse.

We run a range of socials throughout the year including comedy nights, movie nights, drinks at the SU, awards nights and our annual Christmas dinner. Also, at the end of the year there is the highly anticipated Ireland Lacrosse Ball.
