About

Belfast JSoc is a small student formed and student led society; based at Queen’s University Belfast, but open to students from all universities in the North. Through numerous events and activities, we are the social space on campus, and the communitiy for Jewish students who have moved to Belfast for their studies. We partake in events across the British Isles with the Union of Jewish Students (UJS), and also fall under the umbrella of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), and the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS).

We are entirely student run, and do not have a chaplaincy based at the university. The synagogue is based in North Belfast: https://www.belfastjewishcommunity.org.uk and men are welcome to join the Minyan each week.

Our society is home to students from the UK and Ireland, and from our wider global family too. We believe that there isn't one way to be Jewish. No matter your denomination, level of observance or secularism, if you're new to exploring your Jewish heritage - there is a space for you in JSoc.
