Chemistry Society is the academic society associated with Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry undergraduates and postgraduate students as well as anyone who has an interest in the chemical sciences!
Usually society offers an opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow chemists at planned events throughout the year. In previous years this has included:
• ChemSoc Freshers Night
• Beanbag Movie Night
• The 12 Pubs of Christmas
And of course, the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Formal!
However, due the curent situation ie. the global pandemic that's currently taking place, it is unknown whether these events will go ahead as usual.
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering regularly host guest lectures from industry and academic professionals, which will allow those interested to widen their knowledge in specialist areas. This, alongside any placement opportunities will be advertised to chemistry society members, allowing you to further your degree.
So, join us if you want to enhance your QUB experience…
This year we will go out with a (big) bang!
