Friends of MSF QUB is a student-run university society dedicated to supporting Médicins Sans Frontiéres, also known as Doctors Without Borders. Médicins Sans Frontiéres works in over 60 countries, sending doctors, nurses and other medical professionals to areas affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural disasters to provide emergency medical care. Friends of MSF serves as the representative of MSF on campus and have the following objectives. 1. Raising funds and awareness of MSF's work and the conditions in which it works in. 2. Providing networking opportunities for individuals seeking to work with MSF in the future. 3. Equipping members with skills that would benefit them in the field of humanitarian work. This includes fields such as Clinical Skills, Public Health Awareness, Working within Multidisciplinary Teams, Humanitarian work for NGOs, Journalism and Political Awareness.

Every year, Student Leaders are elected to represent the 25,000 students at Queen’s and to lead the Union. There are 34 roles available: 6 Full-Time Student Officers; 3 Undergraduate Faculty Representatives; 10 Student Association Chairpersons; and 15 Undergraduate School Representatives.
